 SportfishingA full range of deep-sea fishing and fly fishing is available. There is no fishing license requirement for shoreline or deep-sea fishing. The use of spearguns and slings is prohibited in Honduras. Tarpon and bone fishing inhabit the shoreline areas. Roatan’s claim to angling fame rests with bonefishing. The small 1 to 6 pounds and ware “bonies” are a favorite with fly fishermen on the island’s shallow saltwater flats.

 Wreck Diving”The Odyssey” is a 210-foot long cargo boat perfectly sunk in 100 feet of water on a sandy bottom full of deep gardens eels. It has been adapted for penetration diving so you can descend onto open large compartments where you can surprise a number of fish in their homes. Adjacent to the boat runs the wall to finish off the dive amongst all the shallow water tropical fish. The “Aguila” is also a 200 ft. long cargo boat in about 100 feet of water.
